In my work, I explore technology through the everyday nature of emotions in the digital realm. This search has led me to adopt the computer as my main tool for creation.
I use virtual reality to build worlds that reflect on the relationship between humans and computers, and how this interaction has flooded every aspect of life: love, work, pain, and joy. I’m interested in thinking of technology not as a mere medium, but as an emotional and symbolic extension of the human experience.
I aspire to create honest, unpretentious art—work that can blend in and camouflage itself within virtuality, as if it had always lived there; art born and raised on the internet.
Virtual reality is one of my favorite mediums because it merges the artificial with the bodily: it is as plastic and synthetic as the computer, yet also deeply human in the way it relies on the movement of the hands. Unlike the mouse, VR allows me to sculpt in a digital space that feels like a contemporary form of craftsmanship.
